Bavaria Delegation Visit Strengthens Investment and Economic Ties with Monterrey
Invest Monterrey co-hosted an exclusive high-level dinner in Monterrey as part of the official visit of a Bavarian delegation, reinforcing growing economic ties between Germany and Northern Mexico and highlighting new opportunities for foreign direct investment (FDI) in the region.
The delegation, composed of more than 30 representatives from Bavaria’s public and private sectors, gathered with key stakeholders from Monterrey’s business ecosystem to exchange insights on the region’s investment landscape and explore avenues for strategic collaboration.

During the event, Invest Monterrey presented the state’s competitive advantages, emphasizing its strategic geographic location, highly skilled workforce, strong industrial base, and business-friendly environment—key factors that continue to position Monterrey as a leading destination for international investment in Mexico.
Senior representatives from global firms such as Baker McKenzie, Deloitte, Citi, Manpower, and FINSA also contributed to the discussion, sharing valuable perspectives on Mexico’s competitiveness and Monterrey’s role within global supply chains and investment flows.
The Bavarian delegation was led by Dr. Martin Schlotter, Head of Unit for External Economic Relations at the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, and included Members of the Bavarian State Parliament Wolfgang Hauber and Stephanie Schuknecht. Their participation underscored Bavaria’s strong interest in strengthening economic cooperation and identifying new business opportunities in Monterrey.

This engagement reflects the increasing relevance of Monterrey as a strategic hub for global investment, particularly for European companies seeking to expand operations in North America through Mexico’s dynamic industrial ecosystem.
Through initiatives like this, Invest Monterrey continues to foster international partnerships, promote investment opportunities, and support the region’s long-term economic growth and competitiveness.
