Bolivian Business Delegation Visits Monterrey to Strengthen Trade and Investment Ties

As part of a commercial mission to Northern Mexico, a delegation of Bolivian companies visited Monterrey to explore new business opportunities and strengthen bilateral economic ties. The visit included a high-level seminar titled “Doing Business with Bolivia,” organized in collaboration with Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) and supported by Invest Monterrey.
 

The event brought together business leaders, government officials, and institutional partners from both countries, providing valuable insights into Bolivia’s economic outlook and investment landscape. The initiative forms part of broader efforts to promote cross-border collaboration and foster new trade and investment opportunities between Mexico and Bolivia.
 


 

Among the distinguished participants were Eduardo Sosa, Ambassador of Mexico to Bolivia, and Gustavo Jáuregui Gonzales, Vice President of Industrialization Policies in Bolivia, who shared perspectives on economic cooperation and bilateral development strategies.
 

Betsabé Rocha, Secretary of Economy of Nuevo León, presented an overview of Monterrey’s economic strengths, highlighting its strategic location, industrial capabilities, and competitive advantages as a leading investment destination in Mexico.
 


 

Héctor Tijerina, Executive Director of Invest Monterrey, led a panel discussion focused on the organization’s role in supporting international companies. He emphasized the importance of soft-landing services, institutional support, and strategic guidance to ensure successful market entry and expansion for foreign investors.
 

The seminar also addressed key operational considerations for companies entering Mexico, including tax frameworks and business setup strategies, with contributions from industry experts such as Deloitte and The Nearshore Company. Additionally, companies including Mamut Pisos Industriales y Deportivos and Santacruz Silver Mining shared their experiences and perspectives on cross-border collaboration.
 


 

This engagement highlights Monterrey’s growing role as a strategic hub for international business and reinforces its commitment to fostering global partnerships, attracting foreign direct investment, and enabling sustainable economic growth.
