Invest Monterrey Hosts Committee of Municipalities Session to Strengthen Regional Economic Growth

Invest Monterrey recently hosted a new session of the Committee of Municipalities, a key initiative designed to enhance collaboration between local governments and the state in driving economic development. The meeting gathered municipal leaders and economic development representatives from across the Monterrey metropolitan area, fostering dialogue and joint action to advance the region’s competitiveness.

The session was led by Araceli W. Ching, Secretary of Economic Development of Guadalupe, who emphasized the importance of cross-municipal coordination in positioning Nuevo León as a model for sustainable growth and investment attraction. By bringing municipalities together under a unified strategy, the Committee of Municipalities continues to serve as a valuable platform for aligning local priorities with broader state-level objectives.

One of the session’s highlights was a presentation by Betsabé Rocha, Secretary of Economy of Nuevo León, who outlined initiatives aimed at strengthening collaboration between municipalities and the state government. These initiatives focus on pooling resources, streamlining processes, and creating synergies that benefit companies, investors, and communities across the region.

Through this structured collaboration, Invest Monterrey and its partners aim to reinforce Monterrey’s role as one of Mexico’s most competitive regions for investment. By working together, municipalities and the state can better attract foreign direct investment, expand infrastructure, and support industries ranging from advanced manufacturing and logistics to emerging sectors like health, technology, and sustainability.

The Committee of Municipalities exemplifies Monterrey’s commitment to long-term, innovation-driven growth, ensuring that the region remains a leading destination for global investors. By aligning strategies, fostering dialogue, and sharing best practices, the initiative is helping shape a future where municipalities collaborate as one integrated economic powerhouse.
