Invest Monterrey Represents Mexico at the APEC Investment Forum 2025 in South Korea
Invest Monterrey proudly represented Monterrey and Mexico at the APEC Investment Forum 2025, held in Gyeongju, South Korea, reaffirming its role as a strategic bridge between Asia and North America.
The forum served as a key platform to promote Monterrey’s strengths in advanced manufacturing, nearshoring, and industrial innovation, attracting the attention of leading Korean and Asia-Pacific companies. During the event, Invest Monterrey engaged with business leaders, government officials, and institutional representatives to highlight the region’s strong industrial ecosystem, skilled talent base, and world-class infrastructure.
Alongside the Embassy of Mexico in Korea, Invest Monterrey held productive meetings with dozens of companies and organizations interested in expanding to Mexico, particularly in the automotive, electronics, and renewable energy sectors. The delegation also emphasized the strategic advantages of Nuevo León’s location, connectivity, and ongoing investments in high-value manufacturing.
As VIP guests, representatives from Invest Monterrey were recognized by the Governor of Gyeongbuk Province and the Mayor of Gyeongju for their participation and contribution to strengthening international investment ties. The team also met with senior leaders from KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency), JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), and other major Asian investment promotion agencies to explore new collaboration opportunities.
Invest Monterrey was also joined by its member Citius AG, who presented real estate and industrial site opportunities in Mexico to potential Asian investors. The agenda concluded with an industrial site tour featuring visits to KHNP Energy Farm, responsible for 30% of Korea’s total energy production, and Ilji Tech Gyeongju Factory, a prominent automotive parts manufacturer.
This participation reinforces Invest Monterrey’s mission to position Monterrey as top-tier global investment destinations, while expanding international partnerships that drive innovation, trade, and sustainable economic growth.
