Invest Monterrey Strengthens France–Monterrey Investment Partnership Amid 200 Years of Diplomatic Relations

Invest Monterrey held a strategic meeting with Emilie D., Director of Business France México, and Anne Jaubertie, Head of the Regional Economic Service for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean at the Embassy of France in Mexico, to reinforce bilateral cooperation and promote new opportunities for French investment in the region.
 

During the meeting, Invest Monterrey presented its role in supporting international companies through comprehensive investment facilitation, soft-landing services, and ecosystem integration, positioning Monterrey as a competitive destination for foreign direct investment (FDI) in Mexico.

France remains one of Monterrey’s leading foreign investors, with cumulative FDI exceeding $218 million USD since 2006. Major French companies with operations in the region include:

– Air Liquide
 

Their presence reflects Monterrey’s strong industrial base, skilled workforce, and strategic location within North America’s manufacturing and logistics corridor.
 


 

200 Years of Mexico–France Diplomatic Relations

 

The meeting takes place in a milestone year, as Mexico and France commemorate 200 years of diplomatic relations. Bilateral cooperation has been further strengthened by the recent visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Mexico, underscoring the importance of continued collaboration in trade, innovation, and investment.
