Invest Monterrey successfully hosted its Panorama 2025 event, offering valuable insights into Mexico’s economic outlook for 2025. This significant event, held amid political and economic uncertainty, provided an in-depth analysis of the country’s economic future, particularly with the new government administration starting this year. The Panorama 2025 event gathered experts and business leaders to discuss key economic strategies for Mexico’s growth and development.

A key highlight was the dynamic discussion led by Altagracia Gómez Sierra, Coordinator for the Regional Economic Development and Nearshoring Advisory Council (CADERR) for the Mexican Government. Gómez emphasized that reviving Mexico’s Industrial Policy is one of the Council’s main goals. In a thoughtful conversation, she was joined by Andrés Ochoa-Bünsow, Chairman of Invest Monterrey; Juan Pablo Murra, Head of Tecnológico de Monterrey; Jorge Ursúa, an undergraduate economics student; and Kamila Topete, a graduate applied economics student.

Speaking to nearly 100 special guests at the Expedition Building of Tecnológico de Monterrey, Gómez emphasized the importance of long-term strategic planning and fostering strong collaboration between businesses and government. She remarked, “From these challenges, the best proposals are born.” She also highlighted that President Claudia Sheinbaum recently presented key actions from Plan México to the private sector. This plan, announced on Monday, includes proposals from Monterrey business leaders who are also part of CADERR.

The Plan México outlines five essential points for its implementation:

– Creation of well-paid and skilled jobs.
– Promotion of fair trade and international reciprocity.
– Strengthening supply value chains.
– Enhancing youth training and competitiveness.
– Advancing security and sustainability.
