Invest Monterrey has successfully concluded a multi-country business mission in Europe, aimed at strengthening international partnerships and positioning Monterrey as a strategic gateway to North America. The mission included high-level visits to France, Belgium, Sweden, and Spain, and was carried out in collaboration with strategic partners such as American Industries, Banco Base, Beyond Logistics, Collectron, Dimsa, FINSA, and Holland & Knight.
Throughout the tour, the Invest Monterrey Business Mission in Europe engaged global industry leaders through targeted seminars, corporate meetings, and international events. The delegation promoted Monterreyâs strengths in innovation, advanced manufacturing, and business infrastructure, while exploring new foreign investment opportunities with European companies.

France â Showcasing Aerospace Capabilities at the Paris Air Show
The European tour began in Paris with a strong presence at the Paris Air Show, the worldâs largest aerospace exhibition. Invest Monterrey connected with high-tech aerospace leaders and promoted Monterreyâs readiness to support global innovation.
The team also visited CEMEX France, highlighting a successful Monterrey-based multinational abroad, and met with French companies evaluating investment in Mexico. Key players such as Schneider Electric, Atos, and Engie further highlight Franceâs footprint in Monterrey.

Belgium â Full House at Brussels Investment Seminar
In Brussels, Invest Monterrey hosted an investment seminar titled âMexico: Your Way to Enter the North American Marketâ, which drew over 80 Belgian business executives. Featuring insights from Monterrey-based firms and success stories like Cartamundi, the event emphasized the regionâs potential as a launchpad for European companies. Belgiumâs $26.2 billion USD in FDI to Mexico since 2006 underscores a strong bilateral business relationship.

Sweden â Volvo and Zinkteknik Expand in Monterrey
In Gothenburg, the delegation met with Swedish firms expanding their presence in Mexico. A key moment was the visit to Volvoâs headquarters, where plans were confirmed for a $1 billion USD plant in MonterreyâVolvoâs largest globally.
The team also celebrated Zinkteknikâs investment in a new zinc die-casting facility in VYNMSA Park Monterrey, reaffirming the regionâs industrial competitiveness.

Spain â Concluding with Strategic Meetings in Barcelona
The mission ended in Barcelona, where Invest Monterrey engaged with Spanish companies interested in expanding or initiating operations in Monterrey. With $3.2 billion USD in Spanish FDI since 2006, the city has become a major player in the regional economy.
