American Woodmark to invest $45 Million USD in Monterrey

The American leading furniture company, American Woodmark held a groundbreaking ceremony for its first manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico.

 

The event was led by Scott Culbreth, President and CEO of American Woodmark as well as Samuel García, Governor of the State of Nuevo Leon, and Iván Rivas, Secretary of Economy of the State Government of Nuevo Leon.

 

The $45 million USD investment project is destined to manufacture cabinets, kitchens and doors, American Woodmark will be creating more than 300 new jobs. The new facility is expected to be completed in November of this year and will have 275,904 square feet of space.

 

“We conducted an exhaustive analysis to determine the location of our new manufacturing plant, and we are convinced and very excited to have selected this particular location in Monterrey”, said Culbreth.

 

Each year American Woodmark manufactures more than 10 million cabinets and up to 648,000 kitchens globally.
