DH Autoware Announces $167 Million USD Investment in Nuevo León

DH Autoware has announced a $167 million USD investment in Nuevo León, further strengthening the state’s position as a leading hub for advanced automotive manufacturing in Mexico.

The project will focus on the production of automotive motherboards (electronic control components) for global OEMs such as Hyundai and Kia—critical technologies that support vehicle electronics, infotainment systems, and advanced driver-assistance functions.

As part of this expansion, the investment is expected to generate approximately 440 new jobs, contributing to regional economic growth and reinforcing the local talent base in high-value manufacturing.

The announcement was made in the context of ongoing international promotion efforts led by the government of Nuevo León, aimed at attracting foreign direct investment and strengthening the state’s industrial ecosystem—particularly within the automotive sector.

This investment reflects a broader trend of nearshoring and supply chain integration, as global manufacturers continue to relocate key operations closer to North American markets. The growing demand for electronic components in modern vehicles further positions Nuevo León as a strategic destination for high-tech manufacturing.

With projects like DH Autoware’s expansion, Monterrey continues to consolidate its role as a competitive platform for foreign investment, innovation, and automotive industry growth, supported by its skilled workforce, infrastructure, and proximity to the U.S. market.
