Doosan Bobcat Confirms $300 Million USD Investment in Monterrey

The government of Nuevo León has confirmed a major $300 million USD investment from Doosan Bobcat, reinforcing the state’s position as a leading destination for global manufacturing and foreign direct investment.

The project involves the development of the company’s first manufacturing plant in Latin America, located in Salinas Victoria within the Interpuerto Monterrey industrial hub. The facility will focus on producing compact construction equipment, supporting demand across North America.

The investment is expected to generate between 600 and 1,000 high-value jobs, contributing to regional economic growth and strengthening Monterrey’s skilled labor market.

This announcement follows recent international promotion efforts by the state government, particularly in Asia, where engagement with Korean companies has resulted in new investment commitments and strengthened economic ties.

Doosan Bobcat’s expansion reflects the broader nearshoring trend, as global manufacturers continue to establish operations closer to the U.S. market. The region’s strategic location, industrial infrastructure, and integrated supply chains continue to attract high-value projects in advanced manufacturing and construction equipment production.

With this investment, Monterrey further consolidates its role as a competitive hub for industrial development, innovation, and international business expansion, reinforcing its leadership in attracting large-scale manufacturing projects.
