German Kern-Liebers invests $10 Million USD in Monterrey
Kern Liebers, the German global technology leader for the production of highly complex strip and wire parts, and assemblies, held today a ribbon-cutting ceremony announcing the expansion of their manufacturing facility at ‘Finsa Guadalupe Industrial Park’.
The event was led by Erek Speckert, CEO & Chairman of the Management Board of Kern-Liebers Group as well as Iván Rivas Rodríguez, Secretary of Economy of the State Government of Nuevo Leon.
Kern-Liebers is investing $10 million USD in expanding its facility in Monterrey, which is expected to create 300 jobs. The expansion will produce 50 million high-precision parts used in various industries, including the automotive, textile, medical, and consumer goods sectors.
“For Kern-Liebers the North American market is very important. We are convinced that Monterrey is the ideal location to be in this region, due to its geographical location, excellent connectivity and favorable conditions for the industry, and the great quality of life it offers to our employees”, said Specker.
According to the Secretary of Economy of the State, Ivan Rivas, “Germany is one of the largest foreign investors in Nuevo Leon, with more than $469m invested in the last two years.”
“In June of 2021, in a business mission that Invest Monterrey organized with the Ministry of Economy of the State of Nuevo Leon, a meeting was held with the company at its headquarters in Germany, where the investment that is being announced today was confirmed. We are very pleased to be part of this good news for our state”, said Hector Tijerina, Executive Director of Invest Monterrey.
