Intretech Opens New Plant in Nuevo León with Over $100M USD Investment

Intretech, a Chinese-based smart manufacturing firm, has officially inaugurated its first plant in Mexico, located in Apodaca, Nuevo León, with an investment exceeding $100 million USD and plans to generate between 1,500 and 2,000 formal jobs.

The facility is positioned as a hub for electronic manufacturing, serving key sectors such as automotive, medical devices, energy, and consumer electronics. Intretech manufactures a range of high-precision products including rearview mirrors for vehicles, hearing devices, IoT equipment, and navigation systems, combining automated processes, quality testing, and scalable operations.

During the opening, state and local leaders praised the new facility as a milestone in the region’s industrial development. Novo León’s governor emphasized that Apodaca houses one in every three jobs in the state and that the region’s infrastructure, formal workforce, and economic momentum have made it a magnetic destination for foreign investment.

For the local economy, Intretech’s presence brings not only direct employment but deeper value chain integration: local suppliers in plastic injection, machining, electronic components, and engineering services will have new opportunities for contracts and certification. This expansion reinforces Nuevo León’s role as a strategic node in Mexico’s nearshoring and advanced manufacturing agenda.

The plant is expected to provide strategic coverage across North America, leveraging Apodaca’s proximity to logistics corridors and supplier networks. It also signals growing confidence from international firms in Monterrey’s industrial ecosystem.
