MillerKnoll Inaugurates First Manufacturing Facility in Monterrey
MillerKnoll, a global design collective recognized for its iconic brands Herman Miller and Knoll, has officially opened its first manufacturing facility in Mexico, located in Monterrey.
The new plant will focus on producing high-end furniture for the U.S. market, combining innovation, design, and craftsmanship to meet growing demand. With an initial goal of creating 200 new jobs, the facility strengthens Monterrey’s role as a key hub for advanced manufacturing and international business expansion.
Invest Monterrey supported MillerKnoll throughout the early stages of the project, providing guidance and strategic assistance as the company established operations in the region. Legal partner Holland & Knight also played an important role in ensuring a smooth landing process.
MillerKnoll’s decision to expand to Monterrey highlights the region’s competitive advantages, including a highly skilled workforce, robust supply chain, and strong connectivity to North American markets. The investment not only brings new employment opportunities but also reinforces Monterrey’s growing reputation as a destination for innovation, design, and global collaboration.
With this milestone, MillerKnoll joins a long list of multinational companies choosing Monterrey as their base of operations in Mexico, further positioning the region at the forefront of nearshoring and industrial growth.
