Nifco Announces $85 Million USD Investment for New Plant in Monterrey

Global automotive supplier Nifco has announced a new $85 million USD investment to build a second manufacturing plant in Monterrey, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the region and Mexico’s automotive industry.

The new facility will complement Nifco’s existing operations in Guadalupe and is expected to significantly expand its production capacity of high-performance plastic components and fastening systems used in the automotive sector.

With this expansion, Nifco’s total investment in Monterrey will reach approximately $150 million USD, consolidating its footprint in one of Mexico’s most dynamic industrial regions.

The project is also expected to generate around 1,500 new jobs, contributing to regional economic growth and strengthening the local labor market.

Nifco plays a key role in the global automotive supply chain, serving major OEMs such as Tesla, Hyundai, Kia, Ford, and Honda. Its expansion in the region reflects the increasing demand for advanced manufacturing solutions and the ongoing nearshoring trend driving investment into Northern Mexico.

This new investment further reinforces Nuevo León’s position as a leading destination for foreign direct investment (FDI), automotive manufacturing, and advanced industrial development, supported by its strategic location, skilled workforce, and integrated supply chains.
