Siemens Expands Investment in Nuevo León with $73.6 Million USD Commitment
Siemens has reinforced its confidence in Nuevo León’s industrial ecosystem by announcing a total investment of $185 million USD in the state.
The German technology giant is expanding its operations in Santa Catarina, where it already operates one of its most important manufacturing sites in Mexico. The investment includes an additional $7.3 million USD to strengthen molding and low-voltage operations, supplementing Siemens’ original commitment of more than $178 million USD through its Mitras expansion project.
The Santa Catarina facility focuses on plastic injection, molding, and advanced manufacturing solutions that supply both domestic and international markets. This expansion will allow Siemens to increase production capacity, adopt more digitalized processes, and integrate sustainable practices that ensure long-term competitiveness.
By scaling up its presence in Nuevo León, Siemens reaffirms the state’s position as one of Mexico’s leading destinations for advanced manufacturing investment. With world-class infrastructure, skilled talent, and strong connectivity, Nuevo León continues to attract global leaders who see the region as a strategic hub for innovation and nearshoring.
