Steelform Breaks Ground on New Plant in Monterrey Region
Steelform, a Swiss-American automotive supplier, officially began construction of its new manufacturing plant in Pesquería, Nuevo León, with an investment of US$60 million that will generate more than 100 formal jobs and reinforce the state’s position as Mexico’s leading hub for foreign investment.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, Governor Samuel García Sepúlveda emphasized that Nuevo León is experiencing a historic economic moment, attracting over US$90 billion in foreign investment in just four years—ten times more than the previous administration.
“Every peso, dollar, or euro invested in Nuevo León multiplies; here we provide security, education, healthcare, and the best quality of life so that every company grows alongside our people,” the Governor stated.
Steelform’s expansion highlights Pesquería’s growing importance as an industrial hub, supported by modern infrastructure projects such as the new airport, Metro lines, and highways that enhance the region’s competitiveness.
Founded through the merger of Steel Warehouse (USA, 1948) and Forming AG (Switzerland, 1964), Steelform operates internationally and is now expanding its footprint in Mexico to serve the fast-growing automotive supply chain.
With this new investment, Steelform strengthens Nuevo León’s leadership in the automotive sector, generating quality jobs and contributing to long-term regional growth.
