British Unilever to invest $400 Million USD in Monterrey, Mexico

The British leading company in personal care products, Unilever, announced today a $400 million USD investment for its first manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico.

 

The investment project is destined to produce beauty products and will be creating more than 1,200 new jobs.

 

“We welcome this new Unilever facility that will use state-of-the-art technology for environmental care and position our state in the global beauty industry”, stated Samuel Garcia, Governor of the State of Nuevo Leon.

 

“We are excited about this new world-class operation in Monterrey as it will be home to both local and international manufacturing operations”, said Reginaldo Ecclissato, Unilever’s global supply chain leader.

 

The Monterrey’s facility is set to start operations in 2024.

 

Unilever’s portfolio includes beauty and wellness, personal care, home care, nutrition and ice cream products, with a presence in more than 190 countries and products used by 3.4 billion people every day.

 

Unilever operates in Mexico since the 1960s and employs more than 7,500 people in four production plants and two distribution centers.
